Unfortunately the scale of this model came out wrong, the tree looks tiny, but it was 5 meters tall, but that’s not the point: the idea would be to be able to “sit there” in this position:
I specifically scanned from this position with high detail, so in Meta Quest it looks like you are right there.
But there is something missing: the ability to see what I have in my hands! Implementing passthrough for a small area close to the observer would possibily allow reading a book while sitting everywhere in the world! Or maybe a real ebook-reader could be implemented inside the Quest app, which would allow better resolution; unfortunately, this would be very complex, due to copyright, DRM and everything to takie into account to build a kindle-like app. But this could be the future of Kindle!
