I am scanning models I make for stop motion animation and using the scans in blender to animate “fly thrus” and additional scenes. Almost perfect.
I have noticed that however big an area I scan, from a small 3 ft model to a whole room or corridor, the texture map is the same size. (Im talking about the mesh export of course).
So my question is, , when scanning a large area, lest say, coridor, would the best practice be to scan short sections of he corridor at a time, then stitch them together, for the best texture resolution?

I’m really interested in the advice here.
I am trying to capture a similar structure, a roadway, which is a corridor of street art murals. Now maybe it’s because you are moving From mural to mural I find it better to do each as a section. It seems to do better when it has a focus point to work around. No idea if that’s me muddling along or not. So I would like to know what is recommended.
