Crop behavior after posting to map

I have cropped and uploaded it to the map, but when I tap on it, I can see what it looked like before it was cropped.
It seemed to be working correctly until recent.

App Version: 4.0.2 (532)
iOS Version: 18.0.1
Device: iPhone 15

I see that the posted splat is actually the cropped version:

(at least on the web browser)

This occurs when viewing from the application.
The same goes for other users’ posts.

When the scan was cropped, you used the crop feature within the Scaniverse app correct?

Yes. I cropped it before putting it on the map. If I am misunderstanding the feature, I would like to understand it better.
I look at the published, the background is black on the app map, but the front two are cropped, but the back two are not.

got it. and you only want the cropped versions with the black background right?

I just want to crop and remove anything inappropriate when posting to the map.
Currently I have to stop scanning or posting, not crop. If this is a spec of the app I will follow it.

Thank you for your patience. I’ve relayed all of this to our team and it was concluded that this is a bug. While I can’t give you an exact timeline for when this bug will be addressed, be on the lookout for future scaniverse updates. The result should be that both the web and app interfaces should show you the finalized cropped scans once the bug has been fixed
