I’m creating splats to view in VR and I’m using an iPhone 16 MAX and the latest version of the Scaniverse iOS V4.0.6 and unfortunately when viewing the results on my Meta Quest 3 most of them give the warning unoptimized for VR and some then kick me out of the capture back to the map. After creation I always hit the optimize button until it doesn’t come up anymore but this doesn’t seem to help. Am I doing something wrong when scanning? Other scans on the map are as large as mine but don’t have any problems loading and displaying. I need help!
Hi @SFMike3D, this is likely related to the issue that you posted about a few days ago.
We’re in the midst of investigating it—Will let you know when a fix is out!
Thanks for the response. I’m also have problem when trying to upload to the map. Sometimes the scan ends up in the middle of the ocean without the naming or location coordinates that are on the original. Some scan appear to have been added to the map locally on my phone but don’t appear on the online map. If I try to re-send it, it will upload half way and then just stop and the scan will not appear on the map or be in the ocean with no naming information. I originally reported in general discussion but saw it was suggested to another user that reporting in bug reports was helpful too, so that’ why I posted twice. I’m enjoying the app but there are certainly some hiccups.
I too like mentioned on the other post am seeing this with almost all of my scans. Can Scaniverse please try and fix this issue asap as it makes using the app useless. I have stopped using Scaniverse and will only come back to it once this has been fixed and I can actually use my scans in VR.
