To view your own splats in Into the Scaniverse, you can upload your splat either:
- to the map (public)
- share as an unlisted splat (private)
Here are the steps to post an unlisted, private splat.
- Capture and process a splat
- Once processing is complete, select “Save & close”
- In the Library, select and load your splat
- Select share > Share Link
- That’s it! Once the upload is complete, the splat will be available in your Profile tab in Into The Scaniverse!

Hello Azad! Just finished creating my first 3DGS using Scaniverse. I’m very impressed with the quality of the scan. Well done everyone!
After I created my 3DGS model, I went to Into the Scaniverse in my Quest 3 browser and found it (eventually) in my profile, it displayed immediately and viewing it in VR was an absolute wonder. Your controls are intuitive and easy to use and the model looked absolutely fantastic. You did it! You’re the first to make this easy!!!
I have a few questions about basic nerd stuff like SH level but I’ll leave that for later. Right now I just wanted to reach out and say thank you to everyone involved.
Enjoy the ride!

Hi @WebVRWorld, very happy to hear that!
Viewing splats in VR is quite magical, so we’re happy that you feel the same
. If you have more questions about splats, VR, or Into The Scaniverse, feel free to make a new posts on in the ITS category!

Hey @AzadBalabanian
Publishing to the map forbids ‘interior scans’, is there a way to publish a splat publicly so it is not on the map but still appears in my profile page?
Thanks!
Hi @nebulousflynn,
Yes, you can upload splats which don’t satisfy the requirements of “posting to map” (such as, scans of interior, non-public spaces) as unlisted/private splats. The instructions to do so are listed here in the original message of this thread.
To clarify, only the splats that are publicly posted to the map need to be outdoors/public/etc. Unlisted/private splats do not need to be, once they’re uploaded, they show up in the Profile view in Into the Scaniverse.
Hope that helps!
Can others see it on map? I had scanned something in the private mesh by mistake since i am new to the app. But it came out so clear. I tried to redo it with the public map scan. Well that came out blurry.
Thanks for the reply Az!
Maybe I am being dumb but where does one edit the privacy settings for a scan?
I am using v4.0.4 of the iOS app
The privacy settings are based on how you upload it, so either by posting to map (public) or by selecting “share link” (unlisted).
You can change an unlisted splat to public by selecting “post to map” however, you can’t change a public splat to unlisted unless you delete the shared splat and re-upload it.
