Failure to upload scans from Android Galaxy S20

Description of the issue**:

I’ve had the Android app for a couple of days on my Samsung Galaxy S20 and have been unable to upload either by the Post to Map option or Share link option. I’m located in Australia.

“Posting to Map” results in the following:

Uploading scan… starting… uploading… then an error message saying there is “no internet connection”.

Phone screen was on the whole time with the app on screen and phone has wifi internet access on a fast connection.

When attempting to use “Share link” I get the following error:

Creating link failed. There was an error uploading your scan.

I’ve tried 2 scans, one is around 60mb and the other is 19mb. I have tried uploading at different times of the day.

I have also tried uploading whilst away from my home wifi and using cell network data instead. Have tried restarting the app. Same issue occurs.

It’s like the app has no upload permissions or something. Is anyone else seeing the same issue?

Hello! A patch addressing various bug fixes for some Galaxy devices will be implemented in the next release, Version 4.0.4, which should become available within the next few days. However, in the event that your issue is not resolved, do you know if other scans have the same issue or if it is restricted to just those scans?

I had only recorded two scans when submitting the bug report. I tried recording and uploading a third scan today and same issue exists with the third.

Hello again! Version 4.0.4 is now available for Scaniverse. Could you try uploading again, both with a new scan and any of your older scans? Please let us know if your issue persists so we may assist you further. Thank you!

I tried this after updating the app to 4.0.4 yesterday and the problem persists with both old scans and a fresh scan.

In addition I tried a few new splat scan, one of which crashed the app, and when I try to open the partially completed scan the app closes, if I try to load it again then my phone tells me the app has a bug and would I like to clear the app’s cache? I tried clearing the cache and restarting the app but it continues to crash when attempting to load that partially completed scan.

Also, the two splat scans I did manage to complete with the new version 4.0.4 app do not allow me to fully rotate the scan, only about a 90 degree rotation it seems, even though I captured a full rotation around the object. I’m also getting a lot of red lines/hatching appearing on screen during the scanning process.
